CALM Sensing Platform — Preliminary Technical Specifications

Development Status Platform is in active development; specifications may evolve as the hardware is refined.
Microcontroller ESP32-S3 with Bluetooth connectivity and integrated battery management.
Display 1.8” colour display.
Power Rechargeable LiPo battery; Approx. 4–5 hours continuous use.
Enclosure 3D printed (FDM) PLA; Approx. 72 × 81 × 43 mm; Can be redesigned, modified, or augmented to accommodate the creative project.
↳ Form Factor Portable; suitable for handheld or wearable use.
↳ Mounting / Wearing Integrated strap slot; can be worn, carried, or mounted on a tripod.
Air-Quality Sensor Laser Induced Graphene (LIG) Sensor developed by the CALM team; housed as a separate sensing component connected to the main device by cable.
↳ Sensor Power Sensor has its own rechargeable battery.
Software Framework Device → Bluetooth → mobile app → web; platform framework is developed and operational.
↳ Mobile Interface Custom mobile app communicates with the sensing device.
↳ Data / Web Platform App communicates with the CALM web platform for data collection and visualization.
